Frankly, I have no issue with having a COI on the whole. You
need to find out what went wrong in order to implement solutions to
solve them. For example, if the COI learns that the train drivers
do not have emergency SOPs, then they will force SMRT to make all
drivers be trained in emergency drills.
Like it or not, SMRT is run by morons, so you need to find out
what the morons did wrong and force them to fix the problems from
there.
My main issue here is with SMRT still not fully learning the
lessons that should have been painfully obvious during the December
fiasco. For example, one of the biggest gripes was the poor
communication between staff and passengers.
For the disruptions of the past few days, it looks as though
SMRT has still not learnt how to do that properly.
Heck, I was stuck on the train at Kembangan last Friday. The
announcements were in only two languages (English and Mandarin),
and the announcer's lisp was so horrible that I thought the
announcer only said that 'the platforms will be crowded'.
Seriously you think they only know of the issues coz of the
COI
At the point the problem was found, they would have already
known the cause of it
There should not be a repeat while this wayang COI is going on
at all -_-"
